Since there’s always something fun going on, deciding which events to attend can be a challenge. Here’s three July happenings we’re interested in, and we think you’ll like them too.
Kutztown Folk Festival
Held from June 29-July 7, the 70th Annual Kutztown Folk Festival offers fun for the whole family. The oldest continuously operated folklife festival in America is home to the largest quilt sale in the country — but that’s just the beginning. Enjoy crafts, delicious food and continuous entertainment on five stages each day. Plus, there’s plenty of entertainment for kids, including the Children’s Farmyard Theater, crafts, pony rides and a carousel.
Harry Potter and the 8-Movie Marathon
If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you won’t want to miss the eight-movie marathon at The Mahoning Drive-In Theater in Lehighton. From July 4-7, all Harry Potter films will be shown in order on 35mm film over four nights. Definitely a magical holiday weekend, this fun event features vendors, games and more. If you want a truly immersive experience, overnight passes are available.
Blueberry Festival
If you enjoy blueberries — and who doesn’t? — don’t miss the Blueberry Festival at Burnside Plantation in Bethlehem on July 20-21. This family-friendly event features all things blueberry. Enjoy live music, kids crafts and activities, live colonial demonstrations and delicious blueberry desserts. Those 21 and over can also visit the Blueberry Brewery Tent to sample Lehigh Valley’s beer, mead, wine and more.
