Three Industries Hiring Right NOW in Lehigh Valley

Unfortunately, COVID-19 has been rough on many Lehigh Valley employers, causing a surge of layoffs. Therefore, if you’re like many people, the pandemic has left you searching for jobs in Allentown, PA

Thankfully, there’s still a lot of open positions to choose from. If you need work, here’s a look at some of the types of jobs HTSS, Inc. is working to fill for local employers.

Three Industries Hiring Right Now

Manufacturing

There’s no shortage of manufacturing jobs in the Lehigh Valley. From machine operator positions to warehouse associate jobs, local employers need help amid the pandemic.

For example, a food packaging company in Bethlehem is hiring full-time machine operators on a temp-to-hire basis. Pay is $15 per hour and opportunities are available on all shifts.

A shipping company in Allentown is also hiring full-time and part-time warehouse associates for several different shifts. Full-time pay is $16 per hour, plus $5 per hour pandemic wages. Part-time pay is $17 per hour, plus $5 per hour pandemic wages.

Customer Service

Companies still need associates to provide customer service amid the pandemic. In fact, several local employers are looking to fill these roles.

For example, a company in Macungie needs a full-time customer service professional to work Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Prior customer service experience is required for this job, which involves answering phones, stocking shelves and assisting customers. Pay starts from $15 to $17 per hour.

A Kutztown company is also searching for someone to fill a temporary customer service/administrative assistant role in a warehouse environment. Successful candidates must have experience with SAP, order entry and customer service.  Pay is $17 to $19 per hour, based on experience. The job is expected to last until the end of June.

Janitorial

COVID-19 has made a clean work environment more important than ever. Not surprisingly, several employers are seeking janitorial help.

For example, a South Bethlehem tobacco warehouse needs general janitorial workers. Pay is $13.50 per hour, with a Monday through Friday shift that runs from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Successful candidates must be able to work overtime.

For our candidates, we help to uncover truly rewarding job opportunities—jobs that are a match to each candidate’s skills, and jobs that offer key experience and growth potential.
