February Activities That Should Be on Your Radar
BubbleOlogy!
Take your kids to the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown this month for a fun and educational day. Comic bubbleologist Casey Carle will be performing the 30-minute stage show Bubbleology through Feb. 9. Sure to be a hit with little ones, the show features funky foam sculptures, bubbles using a vortex cannon and bubbles that burst into flames. Show tickets are $3, plus the science center entry fee.
Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival
If you love a good movie, head to the Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival on Feb. 29 at the Bethlehem SteelStacks. Fun for both filmmakers and movie buffs, screenings of all top submissions will take place in the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas. Plus, one winner will take home the Best in Show Award and $500.
Merchants Square Model Train Exhibit
Located on the second floor of Merchant’s Square Mall in Allentown, the Merchants Square Model Train Exhibit is the perfect activity for a freezing February day. This amazing exhibit features 40 model trains; 30,000 lights, stars, moon, and illuminated buildings; a 24’ x 16’ lake with scale rainfall, thunder and lightning and so much more.
