Fall Happenings in the Lehigh Valley

October is here, and it’s one of the best months to live in our local area. If you’re looking for things to do in Lehigh Valley, PA, with your family and friends, you’ll find no shortage of activities.

The leaves are changing color, the days are getting shorter, and the temperatures are falling, meaning its pumpkin patch season — but that’s not all. Seasonal activities are a special way to celebrate fall, so take advantage of all the Lehigh Valley has to offer.

Here at HTSS, Inc., our calendars are packed with fall activities this October. Here’s where we’ll be spending our weekends. We hope you enjoy these events too!

October Festivals You Don’t Want to Miss

Easton Garlic Fest

Head to Downtown Easton on October 5-6 to celebrate garlic. Festival admission is free — two bonus events are ticketed — and you’ll enjoy live music, more than 60 vendors, food, and a beer tent. Don’t miss the most popular events — Gastric Garlic People’s Choice Contest, Dangerous Dessert Contest, Farm-to-Table Iron Chef Cook-Off, and the First Responders Cook-Off.

Oktoberfest

It’s not fall without Oktoberfest, so head to the SteelStacks in Bethlehem on Oct. 4-6 and 11-13 to join in the festivities. Presented by Lehigh Valley International Airport, admission is free, and there’s plenty of activities for everyone. Enjoy beer samples, authentic German food and beer, live music, schuhplattlers, and fun attractions like the Beer-Lympics games, dachshund races, Yuengling Oktoberfest 5k and more.

CEO Letter

As a staffing and recruitment professional for over  30 years, I have seen many changes in the industry. Over that time, I’ve witnessed a transformation in the way organizations view staffing services. Today, we see more and more companies using staffing services as a strategic tool, rather than just for temporary fill-ins.

At HTSS, Inc., our focus is on helping companies create proactive workforce plans. Our goal is to help our clients use staffing strategically to increase capacity, overcome hiring freezes, access specialized talent, better manage increased workloads, and enhance overall productivity.

For our candidates, we help to uncover truly rewarding job opportunities—jobs that are a match to each candidate’s skills, and jobs that offer key experience and growth potential.

We look forward to strengthening our relationships with our current clients and candidates, as well as forming new and exciting partnerships in the future.

Sincerely,

Pat Howells
