The end of winter is so near, you can probably feel it. Chances are, you’ve been staying in as much as possible to avoid the cold weather, so you probably have a major case of cabin fever. Now is the time to bundle up and get out and enjoy some fun local events happening in our community this March.
If you’re looking for jobs in Lehigh Valley, PA or trying to fill open positions on your team, you’re probably staying pretty busy during the week, so you really need to relax and have some fun on the weekends.
Here’s a look at the top three local happenings on our radar this month. Hope you enjoy these events because we’re really looking forward to them!
Lehigh Valley Flower & Garden Show
Spring starts this month, so get a head start by visiting the Lehigh Valley Flower & Garden Show, held March 8-10 at the Allentown Fairgrounds’ Agri-Plex. Enjoy fun for the entire family, including vendor booths, seminars, demonstrations and kids’ activities. Some of the 2019 highlights include a paint and sip event, make your own Slug Slime — for kids — and free seminars by local experts and master gardeners all weekend.
Adult tickets are $7 in advance — $8 at the door — seniors age 60 and up pay $6 in advance — $7 at the door — and kids 12 and under are free.
Easton Winter Market
Happening now through April 27, the Easton Winter Market takes place from 10 am to noon on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Head to Church St. — directly behind the Easton Public Market — to enjoy fresh, local goods from 11 vendors. Stock up on local pasture-raised meats and chicken, eggs, fresh produce, artisan cheese, baked goods, honey, and so much more. This is a great way to support local merchants while enjoying farm-fresh fare!
Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Show
If you’re into automobiles, you don’t want to miss the Lehigh Valley Auto Show at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, held March 21-24. Enjoy more than 110,000 square feet of amazing cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans. From Acura to Volvo, just about every major auto manufacturer will be onsite, so plan to make a day of it.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for both seniors ages 55 and up and children ages six through 14 and free for kids five and under. A family four-pack is also available for $25.
