The leaves are starting to turn color, the air is catching a chill and the days are getting shorter, which means only one thing — fall has officially arrived. One of the best times of the year, this month will be filled with all things pumpkin spice, Halloween fun and of course, Oktoberfest.
At HTSS, Inc., being the top temp service in Lehigh Valley keeps us busy, but we always make room in our schedule for Oktoberfest at the SteelStacks in Bethlehem. If you haven’t been to this annual affair, it’s time to change that. It doesn’t matter if your family has a strong German heritage or none at all, because this fun event unites the whole community.
Don’t Miss Oktoberfest in Bethlehem
In 2017, Oktoberfest will be held Oct. 6-8 and Oct. 13-15. More than just a place to drink great German beer, this family event offers something for everyone. Enjoy authentic German food, live music, and even a 5K race. Here’s a few highlights you don’t want to miss:
Brewers’ Village
Enjoy the opportunity to sample beers from some of the best brewer’s in Pennsylvania in one convenient location. Delight your taste buds with a variety of limited-edition and seasonal ales — i.e., pumpkin ales and German-style marzens. You’ll get a commemorative mug and have the chance to meet brewery staffs and brewers. Tickets are $20 for ArtsQuest members and $25 for non-members.
Kinderland
Get your little ones in the Oktoberfest spirit with a trip to Kinderland. This fun, kid-centric space offers crafts, Imagination Blocks and more. Your children will have a blast enjoying the celebration.
Yuengling Oktoberfest 5K Run/Walk
The Fourth Annual Yuengling Oktoberfest 5K Run/Walk is the perfect opportunity to burn some calories before indulging in German food and drink. The race takes place on Oct. 8 at 10:30 a.m., with the starting and ending line located at First Street and Founders Way at the SteelStacks in Bethlehem. Racers aged 21 and older will receive a free Yuengling in a souvenir stein at completion of the race. Click here to register.
