Summer is just around the corner and everyone is getting excited to feel the heat! School is almost over for the year and the days are getting blissfully longer. Always a fun place to live, the Lehigh Valley is jam-packed with fun things to do in May.
Even if you’ve decided to search for Lehigh County jobs this month, you still need to make time to enjoy yourself. There’s so much going on in our community, you’ll probably have a hard time choosing between events! At HTSS, Inc., these three happenings are front-and-center on our radar, so we wanted to share them with you.
Mother’s Day Brunch
Mark your calendars for May 14, because it’s Mother’s Day! A day to honor your mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt or any other special lady in your life, it’s never too early to start planning for the holiday. Plenty of Allentown area restaurants will hold special Mother’s Day brunches, lunches and dinners, so visit OpenTable.com ASAP to make your reservation.
29th Annual Farm Animal Frolic
Held May 20-21 and May 27-28, the 29th Annual Farm Frolic at Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm in Stroudsburg is fun for the whole family. The event takes place rain or shine, allowing kids to pet a variety of baby farm animals, enjoy hands-on activities and even take in a daily children’s show. There’s also games, refreshments and more, so make a day of it! Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for kids ages 3 to 12.
Opening Day at Wildwater Kingdom Water Park
Get your swimsuit ready, because Wildwater Kingdom Water Park opens for the season on May 27. Simply buy a ticket to Dorney Park — or a season pass — to gain full access to the more than three dozen slides, pools, rivers and play areas. Do note, Wildwater Kingdom has different operating hours than Dorney Park, so check the schedule before planning your visit.
