Can You Afford to Send Your Employees to Training Seminars? Can You Afford Not To?

Is continuing education for your employees really important for their career development? Your employees should be an investment for the future of your company. Unfortunately, many companies take the wrong approach and view their employees as expendable. It may be time to change that outlook. Let’s look at some of the reasons you should consider using training seminars to enhance your employees knowledge and skills sets and benefit not only their career but also your company.

  • The role of training. Training can be used at any level position to give qualified employees additional skills which can not only benefit them individually but also provide these services to your company. Training is a tool that should be used to enhance and further the careers of your staff.
  • The cost of not training. Not investing in the development of your staff can lead to them becoming dissatisfied with their careers and moving to other jobs to advance their skills. If you spend the time and money to cultivate your current team you will not need to find replacements for them in the future and in a never ending cycle.
  • Free local events. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to find the right training for your staff. Check out trade organizations and local events that can offer training programs or seminars which will benefit your team and your business overall.
  • Get online. Webinars are the latest and greatest way for your employees to receive knowledge without leaving the office. Many companies offer free webinars to clients or interested parties. Allow your team to sign up for any free webinar that contributes to their long term knowledge and can benefit their career and your company.
  • Encourage career growth. Whatever the case, don’t stifle an employee’s desire to learn more or advance within your company. This is what breeds dissatisfaction and can cause behavioral problems within your office environment. No one wants their career to remain stagnant and as a manager it is your job to facilitate growth.

CEO Letter

As a staffing and recruitment professional for over  30 years, I have seen many changes in the industry. Over that time, I’ve witnessed a transformation in the way organizations view staffing services. Today, we see more and more companies using staffing services as a strategic tool, rather than just for temporary fill-ins.

At HTSS, Inc., our focus is on helping companies create proactive workforce plans. Our goal is to help our clients use staffing strategically to increase capacity, overcome hiring freezes, access specialized talent, better manage increased workloads, and enhance overall productivity.

For our candidates, we help to uncover truly rewarding job opportunities—jobs that are a match to each candidate’s skills, and jobs that offer key experience and growth potential.

We look forward to strengthening our relationships with our current clients and candidates, as well as forming new and exciting partnerships in the future.

Sincerely,

Pat Howells
