Insights and advice about jobs and hiring in the Lehigh Valley.

November Fun in the Lehigh Valley

Sweater weather is finally here, which means Thanksgiving and the holiday season are upon us. Here at HTSS, Inc. — one of the leading employment agencies in Allentown, PA — we couldn’t be more excited for the upcoming months.

We’re so fortunate to live in an area that offers endless entertainment for all ages and interests. During the day, our team works hard, but in our free time, we take every possible opportunity to enjoy our local Lehigh Valley area. Here’s a look at a few of our favorite events happening this month, because we know you’ll enjoy them too.

Put These November Happenings on Your Radar

PA Bacon Fest

If you’re a fan of bacon — and really, who isn’t? — head to the Easton Farmers’ Market on Nov. 3-4 for the PA Bacon Fest. Enjoy more than 150 vendors and 12+ musical acts at this mouth-watering two-day festival. Admission is a suggested donation of just $2, and all donors receive a raffle ticket. Proceeds benefit the Greater Easton Development Partnership, Easton Farmers’ Market, Easton Public Market, Easton Ambassadors and Easton Main Street Initiative.

Scenic Train Rides

If you haven’t taken a train ride in Kempton yet this year, Nov. 4 is your last chance in 2018. Relax while enjoying the fall leaves on this 45-minute ride through the beautiful Berks and Lehigh County countryside. Trains depart the station on the hour every hour on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 11 — special event rates may apply.

CEO Letter

As a staffing and recruitment professional for over  30 years, I have seen many changes in the industry. Over that time, I’ve witnessed a transformation in the way organizations view staffing services. Today, we see more and more companies using staffing services as a strategic tool, rather than just for temporary fill-ins.

At HTSS, Inc., our focus is on helping companies create proactive workforce plans. Our goal is to help our clients use staffing strategically to increase capacity, overcome hiring freezes, access specialized talent, better manage increased workloads, and enhance overall productivity.

For our candidates, we help to uncover truly rewarding job opportunities—jobs that are a match to each candidate’s skills, and jobs that offer key experience and growth potential.

We look forward to strengthening our relationships with our current clients and candidates, as well as forming new and exciting partnerships in the future.

Sincerely,

Pat Howells
