Save the Date for These 4 Fun July Happenings

Summer is officially in full swing. If you’re busy searching for places hiring in Lehigh Valley, you might be more focused on finding work than having fun, but you still have to make room in your schedule for the latter.

It’s always a good time in the Lehigh Valley, but summer is extra fun, because the warm temperatures allow for plenty of exciting outdoor events. Here are a few happenings worth putting on your calendar, because you will have a great time.

4 Fun July Events You Don’t Want to Miss

Kutztown Folk Festival

America’s premier Pennsylvania Dutch festival takes place right here in the Lehigh Valley. Visit Kutztown from June 30th-July 8th to witness more than 200 folk artists and American craftsman demonstrating and selling their unique wares. This daily festival features folk-life demonstrations, folklore, live music, dancing and entertainment, plenty of children’s activities and a plethora of delicious food.

The festival runs from 10am to 8pm daily. Tickets are priced as follows — $14 adults, $13 seniors, $5 student (ages 13 to 17) and free for kids 12 and under.

Iron Pigs Games

The Iron Pigs have plenty of home games in July, so head on out to Coca-Cola Park in Allentown to cheer on the home team. In addition to the joy of baseball, each game is paired with a promotion to make your day at the ballpark extra enjoyable. For example, Sundays are Kids Run the Bases days and every Wednesday is ladies’ night. There are even a couple dates when you can bring your pooch to the park, so don’t miss out on this summer fun!

Music Under the Stars

Summer is made for outdoor concerts. Head to Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie every Thursday to listen to talented local artists perform in a beautiful setting. Plenty of delicious food is available for purchase during each weekly show, running from May 31-September 6th. The best part is, these performances are completely free!

Christmas in July

Classic holiday movies make the season extra jolly, so why watch them exclusively in December? Celebrate Christmas in July by taking in a double feature at the Mahoning Drive-In Theater in Leighton. The festivities will be held on July 13th-14th, so gather your loved ones and get in the spirit. Be sure to decorate your car for the occasion, because the most festive ride will win an award.

Tickets are priced as follows — $10 general admission, $7 kids 12 and under and $10 overnight camping pass.

CEO Letter

As a staffing and recruitment professional for over  30 years, I have seen many changes in the industry. Over that time, I’ve witnessed a transformation in the way organizations view staffing services. Today, we see more and more companies using staffing services as a strategic tool, rather than just for temporary fill-ins.

At HTSS, Inc., our focus is on helping companies create proactive workforce plans. Our goal is to help our clients use staffing strategically to increase capacity, overcome hiring freezes, access specialized talent, better manage increased workloads, and enhance overall productivity.

For our candidates, we help to uncover truly rewarding job opportunities—jobs that are a match to each candidate’s skills, and jobs that offer key experience and growth potential.

We look forward to strengthening our relationships with our current clients and candidates, as well as forming new and exciting partnerships in the future.

Sincerely,

Pat Howells
