Insights and advice about jobs and hiring in the Lehigh Valley.

Save the Date for These April Events

Spring is officially in full swing, so it’s time to get out of hibernation and enjoy all our local community has to offer. Even if you’re busy searching for jobs in Lehigh Valley, PA or trying to fill open positions for your company, you still need a break to relax and recharge.

No doubt, you’ve probably already added several exciting local events to your calendar for April, but there’s always room for a few more. Here’s a look at our top three favorite local happenings this month.

Three Fun April Events in the Lehigh Valley

Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival

Whether you’re a bonafide film buff or just someone who appreciates a good movie, you’re sure to enjoy the Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival. Held in Bethlehem at the SteelStacks from April 5-7, enjoy a weekend of fantastic films, Q&As and panel discussions. This is your chance to see works from rising stars who might be the next Steven Spielberg, so this is an event you don’t want to miss!

Dancing With the Lehigh Valley Stars

Head to the State Theatre in Easton on April 18 for the fifth year of Dancing With the Lehigh Valley Stars. Watch six local celebrities — Anne Rampolla, Billy Kounoupis, Steve Mittman, Kelly Bauer, Lindsey Knupp and Tony DaRe — paired with a professional dancer from the Utah Ballroom Dance Company compete for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy. Fun for a good cause, ticket proceeds help support the non-profit FREDDY Awards program, which recognizes and rewards outstanding achievements in local high school musical theater.

St. Luke’s Half Marathon

Lace up your running — or walking — shoes and head to William Allen High School in Allentown on April 28 for the 2019 St. Luke’s Half Marathon, 5K, Family Fun Walk & Youth Run. Running for charity, all proceeds go toward grants, scholarships and programs sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Road Runners. Even if you don’t participate, come out anyway to cheer the runners on!

CEO Letter

As a staffing and recruitment professional for over  30 years, I have seen many changes in the industry. Over that time, I’ve witnessed a transformation in the way organizations view staffing services. Today, we see more and more companies using staffing services as a strategic tool, rather than just for temporary fill-ins.

At HTSS, Inc., our focus is on helping companies create proactive workforce plans. Our goal is to help our clients use staffing strategically to increase capacity, overcome hiring freezes, access specialized talent, better manage increased workloads, and enhance overall productivity.

For our candidates, we help to uncover truly rewarding job opportunities—jobs that are a match to each candidate’s skills, and jobs that offer key experience and growth potential.

We look forward to strengthening our relationships with our current clients and candidates, as well as forming new and exciting partnerships in the future.

Sincerely,

Pat Howells
