Three Can’t-Miss October Events in the Lehigh Valley
Oktoberfest
Experience German culture right here in Bethlehem. Head to the SteelStacks from October 5-7 and 12-14 to take part in Oktoberfest. Feast on authentic German food, visit two large Yuengling Beirgartens, listen to live music and enjoy a variety of fun activities, including Dachshund races and an ice sculpting competition. You also won’t want to miss the Yuengling Oktoberfest 5k Run/Walk on October 7, including special German-themed elements.
44th Annual Harvest Festival
A quintessential fall activity, the 44th Annual Harvest Festival will take place in Stroudsburg from October 6-7. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages three to 12. Brush up on your knowledge of heritage crafts and traditional skills like weaving, apple butter making and candle making. Enjoy entertainment for everyone, including children’s activities, pumpkin decorating, pony rides, homemade country food and so much more.
Easton’s 3rd Annual Food Truck Festival
Why go to a restaurant when you can get gourmet fare from a food truck? Put on your stretchy pants and head to the Easton’s 3rd Annual Food Truck Festival on October 21. Held from noon until 6pm, enjoy mouth-watering food, drinks, craft beer and live music. Admission is free and you get to help choose the People’s Choice Best Food Truck in five different categories.
