Ice Princess
Add a little culture to your kids’ summer by taking them to see “The Ice Princess” at the 26th season of the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. Performances are held at DeSales University’s Schubert Theatre from June 2 to Aug. 5. No doubt, they’ll love the show, so continue the fun by taking them to see “Shakespeare for Kids” at the university’s Main Stage Theatre, which runs from July 26 to Aug. 5.
Saucon Creek Arts Festival
The third annual Saucon Creek Arts Festival is Sat., June 3 from 10am to 5pm, and you don’t to miss it! This Bethlehem festival offers something for everyone, including children’s art activities, live music, historic home and garden tours and healthy fare served up by the Lehigh University Füd Truck. Don’t forget your wallet, because plenty of vendors will be selling everything from photography to stained glass.
Bethlehem Italian Festival
Bring your appetite to the Bethlehem Italian Festival on Sat., June 17. The festivities take place on Main St. and in the Sun Inn Courtyard. Eat and drink your way through the day by purchasing a Wine Trail passport — $30 in advance, $35 day of — a Food Trail passport — $15 — or both to try a little bit of everything. Enjoy live music, contests, an Italian car show and more!
Theme Weekends
This summer is going to be a fun one at Whitewater Challengers in White Haven. Enjoy a fun day of adventure on the river or trail, and when you return to the rafting center on select days, a themed dinner will be waiting. German cuisine will be served on Sat. June 24, a Mexican fiesta takes place on Sat., July 22 and a Smokin’ BBQ will be held on Sat., Aug. 19.
