Is Your Job Adding Increased Stress and Pressure to Your Relationship? Here’s How to Fix It!

Your job is a big part of your life, so if you’re not happy at work, it’s probably impacting you in more ways than one — including your relationship. An all-too-common stressor, 80% of Americans are stressed at work, according to a 2014 survey conducted by Nielsen for Everest College.

To some degree, work stress may be unavoidable, but if you’re constantly miserable, it may be time to start searching for new jobs in Allentown, PA. Regardless, you absolutely cannot ruin your relationship with that special someone because you’re unhappy at work.

Four Ways to Fix a Relationship Marred by Work Stress

Find a Healthy Way to Channel Your Frustration

Your partner is not a punching bag, so it’s time to find a healthy place to direct your work-induced aggression. Stop at the gym for a workout on your way home, listen to relaxing music on your evening commute or take the longer route to get to your car in the parking lot — whatever calms you down before you walk through the door.

Schedule Date Nights

Strengthen your relationship by making quality time with your spouse a priority. Plan date nights a few times a week where the two of you can reconnect. It doesn’t matter if you head out to a favorite restaurant or watch a movie a home together, but no computers, cell phones or work talk is allowed.

Seek Professional Counseling

If despite your best efforts, your relationship doesn’t seem to be getting any better, it may be wise to speak to a professional. Depending on the situation, you may want to seek solo counseling to get help channeling stress or see a couple’s therapist with your mate. It may take just a few visits or a longer commitment, but fixing your relationship is well worth the effort.

Consider a Job Change

There’s no need to stay in a job that makes you miserable. If you’re perpetually stressed, angry and exhausted because of your work, consider moving on to another opportunity. There’s plenty of jobs out there where you’ll be happy, feel appreciated and get to enjoy a solid work-life balance.

You have too much talent to waste in a job that no longer makes you happy. HTSS, Inc. wants to help you find the right job for your skills, interests and career goals. Your future is bright, so contact us today to get started!

CEO Letter

As a staffing and recruitment professional for over  30 years, I have seen many changes in the industry. Over that time, I’ve witnessed a transformation in the way organizations view staffing services. Today, we see more and more companies using staffing services as a strategic tool, rather than just for temporary fill-ins.

At HTSS, Inc., our focus is on helping companies create proactive workforce plans. Our goal is to help our clients use staffing strategically to increase capacity, overcome hiring freezes, access specialized talent, better manage increased workloads, and enhance overall productivity.

For our candidates, we help to uncover truly rewarding job opportunities—jobs that are a match to each candidate’s skills, and jobs that offer key experience and growth potential.

We look forward to strengthening our relationships with our current clients and candidates, as well as forming new and exciting partnerships in the future.

Sincerely,
